Nie wieder Höhenrausch

Höhenrausch was a successful art and cultural event in Linz that was held several times between 2009 and 2021. The first Höhenrausch in 2009, as part of the Capital of Culture Year Linz09, was attended by 270,000 people. It was one of the most successful events of the Capital of Culture year, measured by audience. In the following years, each Höhenrausch was attended by around 100,000 people each. In total, almost 1.4 million people visited the exhibitions and installations. Due to the subsequent reconstruction of the venue, the event in 2021 was the last for the time being.

Nie wieder Höhenrausch is a television report, exploring the background of the closing of the art exhibition, in conversation with Mayor Karl Luger and artist Eva Schlegel. Created by Alexandra Bogner (director), Niklas Strahammer (camera), Elisa Breitenbrunner (editor) and Michael J. Keplinger (sound mixer), the journalistic television report was created for c-tv, educational television of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, and broadcast for the first time on 22 February 2022.
