Sphere

Sphere is a multi-media project by Michael J. Keplinger that integrates music, visual art, and film. The project includes the music album Sphere, its promotional website, and the music video for the lead single False Neon God—a short film featuring performance artist Silke SILK Grabinger. The album’s cover was painted by Hannah Delfauro, adding a visual dimension to the work.

Featured on best-of-at by designaustria, a platform showcasing top graduation projects from Austrian art and design schools, Sphere examines how music can be represented in visual and audiovisual media. The project’s focus is on creating a stylistic and narrative connection between sound and imagery, with emphasis on graphic design for vinyl records, web design, and film.

The False Neon God music video premiered at the 2020 Crossing Europe Filmfestival, highlighting the project’s cross-disciplinary approach.
